World championship long distance Duathlon in Zofingen Switzerland. Eleanor Rodgers 11:46:56 3rd place podium finish for her open category Ian Rodgers 10:44:56
Open Event, 5 day World Championships in Hyde Park – olympic distance of 1500m swim, 36.5k bike, 10k run Keith Duncan – Swim – 31.06, T1 – 4.28, Bike – 66.26, T2 – 3.56, Run – 40.48. Overall time was 2.27.19 & placed 208 out of 642.
Well, that’s the 2013 Aquathlon series complete for another year. Two club members finished in the top 20 at Dunmow Triathlon on Sunday. Chris Dunham was 15th overall and 3rd in his age group, with Phil Gibsone 19th overall and 6th in the same age group. Julie Galmiche took part in her first ironman distance triathlon today, Challenge Henley on Thames. The 3.8k swim, 180k bike and 42.2 k run took Julie an amazing time of just 13:11:50.

Matt Eeles took part in his first half ironman distance triathlon on Saturday, at Rutland Water. This race was really good, with perfect weather conditions. The date of the 5th Race in the Stortford Tri Mid-week Aquathlon Series – previously set to occur on the 10th September – will now occur on the 17th September. The fourth in the mid-week Aquathlon series is now behind us. The numbers were down on previous races but still there was some close competition.
