Despite the rainy weather, there was a great turnout for Race 3 in the Stortford Tri Midweek Aquathlon Series.    Thank you to all those who braved the weather  – competitors, spectators, marshals and Herts Boat Rescue water safety crew – what a contrast to the 22 deg plus of the last two races.

Kai Boggen of Roding Tri once again led coming out of the water – another great swim by the youngster.   A storming run saw Stortford Tri’s Zack Cooper move from sixth to first to lead the field home in 30:58 in an impressive debut at this event, taking the male senior prize for the evening.

Trisport Epping dominated the veteran category prizes, with Louise Rawlinson first female home overall in addition to being first female vet – time 36:50.    Lewis Calcutt lead their men home with a third place overall finish in 31:47, taking first male veteran.

Harlow Tri were well represented again, and Holly Nairn taking first female senior in a time of 39:35, and placing 3rd female overall.

Two races remain in the series – Tues 15th August and Tues 12th September
