Julia Fonnereau and Peter Winfield were in Spain this weekend to take part in the Swim Costa Bravo swim festival of 6k, 3.5k and 1.5k events. Laurence Foote completed Challenge Henley Iron distance race (3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42.2Run) in 11:56:00 – swim 1:28:10, T1 8:56, bike 6:28:13, T2 3:38, run 3:47:00. 3116th overall and 28 out of 70 for age category.
In the Rg Active Zone 3Lakes swim at Redricks Lake today Debbie Thompson finished in 10th place from 52 competitors and 3rd lady in a time of 0:37:42 .
HSBC Duathlon at Eton Dorney Mike Woodruff 1:08.53 (finishing 6th, 1st in age group)

Open Event, 5 day World Championships in Hyde Park – olympic distance of 1500m swim, 36.5k bike, 10k run Keith Duncan – Swim – 31.06, T1 – 4.28, Bike – 66.26, T2 – 3.56, Run – 40.48. Overall time was 2.27.19 & placed 208 out of 642.
Well, that’s the 2013 Aquathlon series complete for another year. Two club members finished in the top 20 at Dunmow Triathlon on Sunday. Chris Dunham was 15th overall and 3rd in his age group, with Phil Gibsone 19th overall and 6th in the same age group. Julie Galmiche took part in her first ironman distance triathlon today, Challenge Henley on Thames. The 3.8k swim, 180k bike and 42.2 k run took Julie an amazing time of just 13:11:50.
