Four club members took part in the British Triathlon Championships in Liverpool.
The course consisted of a 1500m open water swim in Queens and Wapping Docks, followed by a 40k bike taking in all the sights of Liverpool and then a 10k run with multiple laps around the Liverpool Docks area taking in the Echo Arena and the Liver Building.
Pete Winfield was first club member home in a time of 2:28:31 finishing in 509 place overall and 18 in his age category. His split times were 21:55; 2:38; 1:04:27; 2:32; 46:57.
Chris Dunham was 8th on his age category and 569 overall in 2:20:29, with splits times of 26:17; 2:41; 1:08:59; 2:20; 40:14.
Sam Rigby came 33rd in her age category 819 overall in a time of 2:30:30, with split times of 31:54; 3:30; 1:05:18; 2:45; 47:00.
Emma Deary completed the swim in 25:59 and T1 in 2:23 and then unfortunately was unable to complete the race due to an incident at the end of the bike leg and a trip to A&E.
