Pete Winfield re fuelling after a 60 mile bike ride from London to Cambridge. Other Tri members taking part were Alasdair Bruce, Alan Findlay, Dan Howarth and Pete Binks. They finished in 2 hours 58 mins.

Julia Fonnereau from Stortford Tri competed with Octavia Chambers in a Questars one day adventure race in the Chiltern Hills. The race format gave competitors 5 hours to navigate to various checkpoints dotted throughout the surrounding countryside. Four members of Stotford Tri competed in the Gosfield Lake Standard Triathlon on Sunday 8th July which is near to Halsted in Essex. The conditions were wet and muddy for the run which was offroad. Dani Welter travelled to Echternach in Luxembourg for the sprint triathlon of 750m open water swim, 20k bike and 5k run on Sunday 8th. Phil Gibsone took part in the Essex and 999 triathlon on Saturday 7th in Maldon, Essex. The race began with a 1000m lake swim at the Blackwater Sailing Club, then a 40k bike ride and a 10k run following the estuary. Two members of Stortford Tri travelled to the picturesque Whittlington Country Park , Trowse just outside Norwich on Sunday 1st July for the Norwich Olympic Triathlon. The event was a 1.5k swim in Whittlington Broad, followed by a 39k one lap bike on undulating quiet roads, and then a 2 lap mostly off road 11k run around the country park…. Read more »

Members from Stortford Tri club were on hand to help with the Olympic Torch relay through Bishops Stortford today. With thousands of people turning out to see it the day was considered to be a great success. See the torch bearer coming up to Elms of Stortford and Debbie getting instructions from the police.
