5 members joined Walden Tri in their 10 Mile TT on the outskirts of Saffron Walden tonight. Debbie, Sue, Dan, Matt and Jamie all took advantage of the great weather to clock great times. Jamie laid down a blistering pace to clock a time of 23:38 coming in in first place.
Tri Sport Epping took all the glory at the first Aquathlon series race last night. An excellent performance from Kevin Partridge saw him finish in first place in a time of 32:35 with fellow Tri Sport epping member Mel Barlow-Kay being the first lady across the finish line in a time of 38:45. Jamie Bishop raced the HSV St. Albans sprint Tri on Sunday. The weather was finally nice for a change if a little fresh. He finished in 01:04:26 and came 8th overall and 3rd in his 40-44 age group. A cold but fresh morning with glorious sunshine was the setting for the European Sprint Championship qualifier at Grendon Lake on Sunday May 13th. Peter Winfield came third in his age group qualifying for next years European sprint in Turkey with a time of 1:15:38. Congratulations to Phil Chaplin who completed 5 days of the 2nd stage of the cycle slam. 455 miles with 20000 feet of ascent. He made some good friends including Freddie Flintoff. Great effort Phil and we wish Colin all the best for his attempt at stage 4 next week.
